Staten Island Children's Museum

The Staten Island Children's Museum provides imaginative, creative, and cultural hands-on experiences for children ages 1 and up, fostering a sense of community where everyone feels included, enabled, and empowered to learn, explore, and play.

Twelve indoor and outdoor exhibits are available, featuring activities such as dance and art workshops, science and story times, as well as after-school, school break, and summer camps, with exhibits like Pets & People, Sea of Boats, House About It, Big Games, and Portia’s Playhouse.

Programs include day camps for school breaks, members-only events, and field trips for camp counselors, scout leaders, and teachers, along with a community gallery and opportunities for donations and membership.

The museum closes on certain holidays, including New Year’s Day, Easter Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, but it will be open on Monday, October 12 for Indigenous Peoples’/Italian Heritage Day.
